General
- Are fire pits and stoves allowed outside?
Open fires and the use of fire baskets are not permitted. Gas barbecues are always allowed. Coal barbecues may be prohibited if it is very dry and the safety region (VNOG) issues code orange and red.
Our site is located in a wooded area, so be careful with fire!
- Are the shops in Epe open on Sunday?
Every last Sunday of the month is a shopping Sunday in the centre of Epe. Various supermarkets are open on Sunday afternoon from 12 o'clock.
At the reception, a small assortment from the local shop is available (no fresh products).
- Can I smoke in the accommodation?
All our accommodations are smoke-free.
- Can a party tent be set up?
No party tents are allowed on the campsite.
- I cannot log in to My Zandhegge, what should I do?
You received a link in your booking confirmation, in which you can create a password. You always log in with your e-mail address and password. With this link you cannot log in again. To log in, go to the link described on our homepage.
If you cannot log in, please contact us. We will then reset your password.
- I need to see a doctor urgently, what should I do?
For emergencies in the evening/night and weekends tel: 0900-6009000. If it is not an emergency, but needs to be checked and cannot wait until a weekday, you can call the doctor's office tel: 085-0791110
- Is WIFI available?
Yes, there is free wireless Wifi network at the park. Network deZandhegge. password: Zandhegge50.
- Is it possible for young people travelling alone to stay?
We are a real family campsite focused on small children. Therefore, it is unfortunately not possible for young people under 25 to stay on the park alone.
- Is the playground accessible to non-camping guests?
Yes, you can buy a ticket for indoor and outdoor play at the reception of Heggies Speelschuur.
- Use hoverboard/ Sit-kart
The use of the Hoverboard/seat kart and electric scooters are prohibited on the campsite.
- When is it shopping night and when is there a market in Epe?
Every Friday evening there is a shopping evening in the centre of Epe. The general market is every Wednesday until 13 hours and Saturday is the all-day market with vegetables, fruit, flowers and fish.
- When is the animation team present?
The animation team is present at Easter, in the May holiday, Ascension, Whitsun, summer holiday and in the autumn holiday. Look at the animation programme for the current dates.
Camping
- Are dogs allowed in the campsite?
A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per pitch. Visitors' dogs are not allowed!
- Can I barbecue on the pitch?
Barbecuing or using a skottelbraai on gas is preferred. Safe coal barbecues are permitted on the campsite, unless there is a warning for increased forest fire risk. In connection with forest fire risk, all forms of open fire are forbidden on the campsite.
- Can I put up an additional tent?
It is permitted to set up a small tent (maximum 5 m²) on the pitch. It is not allowed to put up a small tent in rental accommodation.
- Can a car be parked on the pitch?
On the Comfort pitches with car and on the Comfort pitches with private sanitary facilities, one car is allowed. On the car-free pitches, cars are parked just beside the field.
- Can we stay on a comfort pitch with private sanitary facilities?
Yes you can, only you can't empty your own chemical toilet here, you have to go to the toilet building. For emptying the dirty water you can go to our camper service area at the front of the campsite. Camper maximum 7,5 metres.
- How does the television connection (C.A.I.) work?
We have digital TV at the campsite. More information and channel list at: General facilities
- How many ampere are available on the pitch?
All pitches are equipped with a 10 ampere electricity connection as standard.
This can be increased per 2 amperes to a maximum of 16 amperes per pitch, the costs are € 1,= per 2A.
A standard consumption of 4 kwh * per day electricity is included in the rate; additional consumption at €0,65,- will be charged upon departure.* For 4-5-6-7 week arrangements the consumption is 10A and 4 kwh per day and for ACSI/CKE rates the consumption is 6A and 4 kwh per day.
- Is a root canvas or plastic sheet allowed?
No, both are not allowed. A root canvas or plastic tarpaulin chokes the grass and then it dies. There is special air-permeable tent carpet, which can be used under an awning. This way, the guests after you will also enjoy the grass.
- Is it possible to park a second car on the campsite?
One car per pitch is included. A second car on the campsite is unfortunately not possible due to lack of space.
- My caravan/motorhome is rather large, will it fit on the pitch?
All pitches are approximately 100m2. The size shown on the map does not correspond to the actual size. Do you want to know the exact size of the pitch? Feel free to come by and see if it fits. Campers are allowed up to 7.5 metres.
- What does private sanitary facilities on the pitch mean and what about cleaning?
During the holidays, you can leave your toiletries in the bathroom. In between, you keep the bathroom clean yourself. The private sanitary facilities consist of shower, toilet and washbasin with heated floor. You can book in final cleaning. Should you not do so, we assume that you will leave the private sanitary facilities tidy upon departure. If you do not leave them clean and have not booked a final cleaning, we are obliged to charge final cleaning costs.
- Which pitches have private sanitary facilities?
On Putterlaan H64 to H71 and on Vinkenlaan H72 to H79.
Accommodations
- Are bed linen provided in the accommodation?
Bed linen packages are compulsory for the Veranda Chalets, safaritenten, lodgtenten, safarilodgetenten en hollandse sleurhut. This will be processed in the booking. The bed linen will then be ready for the number of people you specified during the booking process. For the other accommodations you can book them voluntarily by sending an email to zandhegge@ardoer.com or bring them yourself. Towels and tea towels can be rented at a charge.
- Can a car be parked near the accommodation?
A maximum of 1 car can be parked at all accommodations.
- In which accommodations are dogs allowed?
In the 6-person Lodgetent (H35 and H48) and the 4-person veranda chalet number 151, dogs are welcome. A maximum of 2 dogs per accommodation is allowed. Dogs must be kept on a leash on the pitch.
Arrival & departure
- Is it possible to arrive at the campsite earlier?
On busy arrival days this is not always possible. Especially in the months of June, July and August it is not possible to arrive before 14:00. If you wish to arrive earlier outside these months, please contact the reception. We will look into the possibilities, but please keep in mind that there may be extra costs involved.
- What are the arrival and/or departure times in the mobile home, tent or chalet?
You can enter the accommodation from 15:00, but if you wish you can use the facilities such as the indoor playground and the outdoor swimming pool earlier. The departure from the accommodation is before 11:00, but after parking the car in the front car park you can use the facilities all day.
- What are the arrival and/or departure times when I come to camp?
You can enter the pitch from 14:00, departure is before 12:00.
- What if I arrive later than 6pm?
Should you arrive after 18:00, we would be grateful if you could inform us in advance. You can do this when booking or by calling the reception one day before your arrival. Then we will take your arrival in the evening into account. After 18.00 hours you can reach one of our employees via the intercom at the barrier.
Facilities & opening hours
- Do I need to make a reservation for the swimming pool?
No, you do not need to make a reservation for the swimming pool.
- Is the swimming pool accessible to everyone?
The swimming pool in the campsite is exclusively for our guests. Due to strict regulations, we cannot allow outside guests in the pool. Public swimming pool De Koekoek in Vaassen and De Scheg in Deventer are possible alternatives.
- When is Camping de Zandhegge open?
The season 2024 runs from 29 March to 3 November. The campsite and accommodations are closed during the winter period.
Coronavirus
Reservation & payment
- Can we get an insurance to get a refund if we cancel?
It is possible to take out cancellation insurance which insures the travel sum. Please note: the conditions of the cancellation insurance state which situations are insured.
- We have to cancel our holiday. How does that work?
The General Recron Conditions apply to all our reservations. This means that there are always cancellation costs charged. These costs depend on the moment of cancellation in view of the arrival date.
- Where can I find more information about my cancellation insurance?
If you have taken out cancellation insurance directly when booking with us, the insurance runs via www.recreatieverzekeringen.nl.
